This first week is a regular summer-school for players over the age of 18 featuring a week of training, fun and friendship on the magnificent Donegall coast and town of Dungloe. The focus is on ‘social playing’ where everybody is included without pressure or stress. The more novice players just play less notes (!) and the detail is added as you advance your skills. Daily tuition is given in large and small groups, workshops, lectures, concerts, sessions and local trips out - in a full programme of group oral training with exceptional interaction with music and local musicians.

On the Wild Atlantic Way (coast) and just 5 minutes walk from Dungloe town centre, our summer school venue is in the Fairgreen Holiday Cottages village. All rooms are ensuite with twin or double beds (which are also booked for single occupation). The cottages have sitting rooms and fully equipped kitchens (so people can choose how they wish to have their evening meals - cooking in or eating out!) Lunches are provided with the courses. (Local children on weeks 2 & 4 are invited to bring packed lunches.)
For walks, swims, exploring, shopping, relaxing, practising - Dungloe is a wonderful Donegal town with lots to offer. Closely located to Mount Errigal and the Glenveagh National Park, Donegal’s most spectacular mountain surrounded by an exceptional area of natural beauty and nature conservation, and there is a superb range of walks for everyone from seasoned hikers to leisurely wanderers. On Wednesday, we have an afternoon off to take a boat trip to the island of Arranmore with dolphin and whale spotting with seabirds and sandy beaches.
Fly into Dublin Airport, and take an Aer Lingus flight from Dublin Airport to Donegal Airport. This takes 35 minutes and costs €40 and there are just 2 flights every day at 11.40 and 18.50hrs. The airport is close to our Centre and we will arrange your pick up (a small charge is made). Bus with Bus Eireann from Busarus (Dublin central) or Dublin Airport to Donegal town. Change here to the Dungloe bus in Donegal town (5 hours journey in all) - or drive! Your destination is the Fairgreen Holiday Cottages, Dungloe, County Donegal, Ireland F94 YY51.
